The year of 2017 will see 14 new USPS postage stamps releases. The USPS has in plan issuing the following postage stamps: Love Skywriting in its Love stamp series, the National Museum of African American History and Culture postage stamp, celebrating the museum that is the only cultural institution to dedicate its research of the African American culture, art, and history. And much, much more.
USPS Announces 14 New Stamps for 2017
The USPS has planned in detail the issuance of 14 postage stamps that illustrate presidential figures, personalities with a great contribution to the American cultural heritage and the celebration of the Lunar Year through its Year of the Rooster stamps.
Among these stamps are numbered postal stamps such as The Sharks series of stamps. It thus wishes to celebrate this majestic oceanic figure. One of the noteworthy stamps that awaits issuance is the Uncle Sam stamp, in memory of the illustrative figure of American bravery and courage. However, the USPS has yet to release information regarding the pricing of the postal stamps. We will keep you up to speed as soon as possible.
About the National Museum of African American History and Culture Stamp
By issuing this stamp, the USPS will celebrate the contribution to the historical, cultural and artistical research, and by promoting derivate work that the Museum of African American History and Culture has been doing for quite some time. About the museum: it is the only 19th-century Smithsonian museum that has devoted all the efforts for promoting such activities. The stamp replicates the photograph taken by Alan Karchmer of the northwest corner of the building.
In the upper left corner of the stamp is written the name of the museum. Designing the stamp was made by the art director Antonio Alcalá.
